  As a JW were You Told to Not Report or Be Silent about Child Abuse ?

  as most of you know in 2002 barbara anderson and bill bowen were on the dateline program which revealed that child abuse victims had been theatened with disfellowshipping from the jehovah's witnesses for reporting child abuse to the police and authorities .

  and this actually happened to many victims and their families for standing up in behalf of the safety of abused children !.

  most here are aware of the out of court child abuse settlements the wt society made with 16 witness child abuse victims in 2007. a gag order was placed on victims so they would not speak of their experiences with the media.

  There always was a complacent demeanor amougst the brothers and sisters to not bring reproach on to god's organization

  and his people so hence talking about an expected situation of child abuse was deliberately muzzled.

  It was almost if you made mention of this sort of thing you could be placing yourself as a victim by

  opening the door to expose certain people. Fear is the protagonist in religious cults like this and JWS unfortunately follow that same model.

  Its the GB duty and responsibility to spin doctrines to serve their needs and create support for themselves.

  Expect more spins in the future when the old ones become unusable.

  I am getting a visit - help me prepare for it!!!

  my wife tells me that i am getting two elders coming to visit me, i assume as part of the 'help them return' initiative.

  seems strange that they have asked my wife, who still is a regular attender, rather than give me a call.. has anyone else had a call?

  what should be my line be as i don't want to particularly appear 'apostate', especially if there is a chance they will disfellowship me if i take a hard anti-witnees line..

  Stand up and be a man , tell them you honestly do not have the level of believability

  to continue associating with jws or partaking in their religion.

  You do not have to come up any reasons for this and that and they will mostly try and put you into corner.

  Just state your reasons are personal ,

  Does the formation of oil disprove JW's creation time line?

  oil is a fossil fuel that is buried deep into the ground and under the sea.. oil was formed when tiny plants and animals died in ancient seas at a. minimum 10 million years ago and perhaps up to 60 million years ago.. if plants and animals were created on god's 5th or 6th creative day and.

  these days were, as i remember 7,000 years long, how could oil be 10. million years old?

  some of these oil wells are 5 miles deep which points.

  Yes that true and there are many other factual geological formations, debunking the Genesis account and the 6000 year age of the earth.

  Mind you those account cultures thousands of years ago had no idea what oil was.

  The Jerusalem Institute of Technology wasn't founded until 10 AD.

  so we talked briefly by phone after she read this email/letter, and we talked about the masturbation point and married sex stuff....i asked what were the biblical reasons for fds teachings....she said for masturbation it was "deaden therefor your body members"....i said that did not mention masturbations....then it hit me.....crap....masturbation is how you deaden your body members!!

  !......esp as a kid....your all excited (horny)....so how do you deaden it?....the answer is obvious.........oompa.

  Antivirus2009

  i have contracted antivirus2009.. does anyone know how to remove it from windows xp.. if anyone knows how please give me as detailed instructions as possible.. i have had it for the last 3 days, the recommendations on yahoo answers do not work.. avg cant find or get rid of it.. i have started my computer in safe mode and looked for it.

  i cant find it that way either.. every 2 minutes it gives me a pop up that i am infected.. i'm infected by them antivirus2009.. since the infection lots of othe trogans are getting in which avg does find.

  but they havent been able to.
